Issue
The manpage of kdump.conf and file /etc/kdump.conf refer to /sbin/makedumpfile which is /usr/sbin/makedumpfile on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
Resolution
Update package kexec-tools to 2.0.0-273.el6 (released with RHBA-2013-1576) or newer to fix this issue. This fix is included in RHEL6.5GA and later. This issue was investigated in private bz847247 .
