Why don't the checksums match across systems for the same binary file provided by same version of package?
Issue
- Have different checksums between systems. How can this be?
- The checksum (
md5sum,sha512sumetc.) for two binary files is different on two system even though the package version is same.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
