Taskomatic fails to start and seeing "proxy: DNS lookup failure for: localhost returned by /rpc/api" in apache error_log

Issue

  • Problem started happening after upgrading a number of RPMs on the satellite
  • Taskomatic not starting with the usual error message in /var/log/rhn/rhn_taskomatic_daemon.log:

  • Seeing the following error messages in /var/log/httpd/error_log:

  • And these messages in /var/log/httpd/ssl_error_log:

  • Putting SELinux into permissive mode allows taskomatic to start, but SELinux in enforcing mode is required
