'pcs resource move' is not moving the resource to another node in a RHEL 6, 7 or 8 High Availability cluster with pacemaker

Issue

  • I'm trying to move a resource with pcs resource move but when I run the command nothing happens
  • pcs resource move doesn't do anything
  • Why does pcs resource move succeed but then doesn't move my resource anywhere?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6, 7 or 8 with the High Availability Add On
  • pacemaker
  • One or more constraints configured in the CIB for a particular resource or group
