VxFS filesystem fails to mount with FS check error

Issue

  • Whenever a server is rebooted, it is performing FS check for VxFS filesystem and asking for maintenance mode even when the FS are clean. Below messages are logged on system console at the time of issue:

    Checking file systems...                           

fsck 1.38 (30-Jun-2005)

Checking all file systems.
  error on stat()  /dev/vx/dsk/vg1/lv1: No such file or directory

  • Veritas Volume Manager
  • Veritas Filesystem
