Windows systems are not updating when internet is shared with proxy server?
Issue
- Microsoft Windows systems unable to fetch update from their server when squid proxy is configured with authentication. However, browsing websites through browsers are working fine.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- Squid proxy (with internal/external authentication enabled)
