Issue

  • Unable to start instances after a recent storage migration
  • the nova-compute.log file shows the attached storage is unavailable
ERROR oslo.messaging._drivers.common [-] Returning exception Cannot access storage file '/var/lib/nova/mnt/fc3852c36a01fb360d764758473652e0/volume-6c737463-0a17-4d23-a5ea-5c8461028453' (as uid:107, gid:107): No such file or directory to caller
  • the nova-compute.log file shows problems launching the instance with the XML generated by nova
