Unable to find gatein-dep in Maven repo when building with JPP 6.2.0 maven repo

Issue

We are migrating our custom code to Portal 6.2, and now the build is failing due to the following unresolved dependency:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project XYZ: Could not resolve dependencies for project: 
 Could not find artifact org.gatein:gatein-dep:pom:1.4.0.Final-redhat-1 in ...

We are using the offline maven repo for JPP 6.2.0, and have the following dependency declared in our project's pom:

    <dependency>
      <groupId>org.exoplatform.core</groupId>
      <artifactId>exo.core.component.security.core</artifactId>
      <version>2.5.11-GA-redhat-1</version>
    </dependency>
