PID file /var/run/multipathd/multipathd.pid not readable (yet?) after start

While checking the status or restarting multipathd service, following warning messages appear:
`PID file /var/run/multipathd/multipathd.pid not readable (yet?) after start ` -
The above messages also comes in
/var/log/messagesafter a restart. They can be ignored.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2
