When using command faillog , the records don't show the full IP address

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Output of faillog command doesn't show the full IP address, it lost last digit number.

  • Expected behaviour - the full IP address should be shown:

# faillog
user1           0        0   01/01/70 08:00:00 +0800  
user2           0        0   05/15/12 17:22:51 +0800  192.168.3.11
user3           0        0   01/01/70 08:00:00 +0800  
user4           0        0   06/15/12 09:59:55 +0800  192.168.3.22
user5           0        0   06/07/12 13:55:30 +0800  192.168.3.33
  • Current behaviour - only the first 11 characters of IP address are shown:
# faillog
user1           0        0   01/01/70 08:00:00 +0800  
user2           0        0   05/15/12 17:22:51 +0800  192.168.3.1
user3           0        0   01/01/70 08:00:00 +0800  
user4           0        0   06/15/12 09:59:55 +0800  192.168.3.2
user5           0        0   06/07/12 13:55:30 +0800  192.168.3.3
