Issue

ProLiant ML350p Gen8 Serversthe root files system is corrupt beyond any repair and the machine must be setup again.
The hard disk configuration is as follows:- Four disks (1 TB each) in a RAID 5 configuration (2+1 active, 1 spare disk)
- One SSD drive (100 GB) configured as cache device in the server BIOS
- Upon setup, the Red Hat server sees (as expected) one drive /dev/sda of 2 TB
- Setups using the RAID configuration (HP Smart Array P420i)
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- ProLiant ML350p Gen8 Servers
- SSD drive configured as cache device in the server BIOS on Smart Array controller
