Cron processing fails with user authentication failure in PAM.

Issue

• Following message is logged in /var/log/cron.

crond[2393]: (root) FAILED to authorize user with PAM (The return value should be ignored by PAM dispatch)

• It seems that this message is logged every time sar processing which is executed by cron starts and that the processing fails.
