Physical connections and reauthentication-support in a Resource Adapter

Issue

  • Unexpected physical connection (in regards to uid/pw) returned by the JCA implementation
  • understanding is that setting security to “application” should result in supplied parameters (such as username/password) being used to distinguish connections in the pool.

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6.4.0
  • <reauthentication-support>true</reauthentication-support> specified by the Resource Adapter
  • application level security defined in the deployment descriptor
