How to modify PersistentVolume access mode in Openshift V3 and V4

How to modify PersistentVolume access mode. I have created PersistentVolume with ReadWriteOnce access mode. I want to change it to ReadWriteMany. Are there specific use cases when to use ReadWriteMany and when ReadWriteOnce. I plan to use ReadWriteMany for internal docker-registry. Is it possible/safe and how to do it?
