MODCLUSTER000042 error on node startup with mod_cluster and JBoss EAP

Issue

  • This error repeats on startup of the server with mod_cluster configuration:

    405 ERROR [org.jboss.modcluster] (ContainerBackgroundProcessor[StandardEngine[jboss.web]]) MODCLUSTER000042: Error MEM sending STATUS command to [Host]/[IP]:[Port], configuration will be reset: MEM: Can't read node

  • ajp_read_header: ajp_ilink_receive failed

  • Issue while configuring mod_cluster with JBoss server
