Why is '-Djavax.xml.bind.context.factory= com.sun.xml.bind.v2.ContextFactory" needed only for installation of BPMS on WebLogic Server.

Issue

According to installation guide, the following JVM system property is need to be specified.

　　-Djavax.xml.bind.context.factory= com.sun.xml.bind.v2.ContextFactory

We recognize this is system property about JAXB implementation which might affect WLS itself.
Why is this parameter needed? What would happen if this is not specified?

  • WebLogicServer 12c
