JBoss ON is not reflecting the Apache Virtual Host ServerName specified in httpd.conf virtual host's definition

Issue

  • JBoss Operations Network (ON) is not displaying our Apache Virtual Hosts correctly
  • All of our virtual hosts show the same name or IP Address
  • Virtual host's resource name is shown as the machine name rather than the specified ServerName

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.0.1, 3.1, 3.1.2
  • Apache HTTP Server plug-in for JBoss ON (rhq-apache-plugin)
  • Apache HTTP Server resource with one or more child Apache Virtual Host resources
    • VirtualHost definition contains ServerName property value that does not resolve to any of the local machines interfaces
