Booting to emergency mode with "emergency" parameter broken in RHEL6
Issue
- According to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 documentation (Installation Guide), there is an option to boot into emergency mode using the keyword "
emergency" in the GRUB kernel line, but it doesn't seem to work. Is it a bug? Or is the "emergency" kernel argument no longer supported?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 - 6.1
- initscripts rpm version prior to
initscripts-9.03.27-1.el6
