Issue
- How do I send an Unsolicited Neighbour Advertisement when performing IP address failover on IPv6?
- A virtual IPv6 address is initially assigned to server A. The address is then removed from server A and is reassigned to server B. It takes a long time for the network to update its neighboring information and traffic to reach server B on the reassigned address. An unsolicited neighbor advertisement is not sent when the IPv6 address is added to the interface. The recommendation from Cisco is to send this message to immediately update the neighboring information. How can this message be sent?
