Issue

  • Why does PXE Boot fail to download pxelinux.0 using tftp if MTU is set to 1460 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6?
  • When a client is started booting from network to install via PXE kickstart, the client machine gets IP via DHCP from kickstart server correctly but when TFTP is executed, it doesn´t work.
  • If the kickstart server is put with the MTU 1500, the client machine gets TFTP correctly and the installation Works.
  • How can one install the client machine with a MTU of 1460?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Kickstart PXE
