Camel: handlers registered using onCompletion() are not called when the route is stopped

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

In the Camel Java DSL, the method onCompletion() can be used to register operations to be performed when the route stops. In the version of Camel supplied with Red Hat JBoss Fuse 6.1.0 (Camel 2.12.0) onCompletion() handlers are ignored when the route is shut down explicitly in code (e.g., using the stop() method.)

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Fuse
