Custom repository can not be erased from the system although the configuration file in /etc/yum.repos.d was deleted and yum cache erased

Issue

Although the repository configuration file has been deleted from "/etc/yum.repos.d" directory and yum cache erased, "yum repolist" command shows that the repository is still enabled.
