Can I remove glibc-debuginfo packages safely without any impact on system?

  • GHOST glibc Library Vulnerability - Removing debuginfo packages

  • Would like to know if we can remove the following debug info packages without any impact to IDM services.

glibc-2.12-1.149.el6_6.5.x86_64
glibc-2.12-1.149.el6_6.5.i686
  • We want to remove the following 2 packages.
glibc-debuginfo-common-2.12-1.132.el6.x86_64
glibc-debuginfo-2.12-1.132.el6.x86_64
