When detaching a peer the error "<peer> is localhost" is returned

Issue

It is not possible to detach node2 from trusted pool on node1.

  • While checking the peer status from one node, you get:
[root@node1 ~]# gluster peer status
Number of Peers: 1
Hostname: node2
Uuid: 2ae16b2e-77c2-4220-9fd5-1db417f4475b
State: Peer in Cluster (Connected)
  • While detaching the peer, you get:
[root@node1 ~]# gluster peer detach node2
node2 is localhost

Environment

  • Red Hat Storage 2.0
  • Servers have been cloned with imaging software of from a VM template
