- The
goferdtrying: subscription.rhn.redhat.com:5671
Resolution
- The
goferdservice is used to check any scheduled actions between theRed Hat Satellite 6server andRed Hat Satellite 6 clientsystems and this service should run only onRed Hat Satellite 6 clientsystems. - Stop
goferdservice onRed Hat Satellite 6and re-try with Satellite sync, also remove katello-agent and gofer packages from Red Hat Satellite 6 system,
# yum remove katello-agent gofer
Root Cause
- The
goferdservice was running onRed Hat Satellite 6server - The
goferdservice is used to check any scheduled actions between theRed Hat Satellite 6server andSatellite 6 clientssystems and this service should run only onSatellite 6 clientssystems. - In one scenario RHEL6.6 client registered to
Satellite 5.6was runninggoferdservice, disabling thegoferdservice resolves the issue.
