Push via osad doesn't work on RHN Satellite v5.4, but osad ping works fine

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Ping to client systems via osad works but scheduling any actions from the satellite servers are not being pulled and executed immediately via osad
  • osad not picking up commands/errata
  • Red Hat Network Satellite push via osad not working, ping works
  • OSA status is online but events are not being pulled & executed by client system. osa-dispatcher.log say :

2012/05/17 12:39:04 -04:00 8302 0.0.0.0: osad/osa_dispatcher.process_once('Not notifying jabber nodes',)

Environment

  • Red Hat Network Satellite v5.4
  • osad ping works without any issues
