lpstat command gives strange error in RHEL

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When we are giving the command "lpstat -t" , it is giving below error:

    # lpstat -t
    lpstat: (null)lpstat: (null)lpstat: (null)lpstat: (null)lpstat: (null)scheduler is runningsystem default destination: pr123
    

    Other commands also generate unusual messages:

    # lpq
    col7778 is readyno entries
    # lpr
    lpr: symbol lookup error: lpr: undefined symbol: cupsCreateJob
    
  • When crunning the lpstat command with the -p option following output is generated:

    lpstat: symbol lookup error: lpstat: undefined symbol: _cupsStrDate
