CIFS Share errors

Issue

  • CIFS Server is NAS device, other clients seem fine
  • CIFS client is RHEL 4 VM, was working before it was migrated to a new cluster, with faster CPU, etc.
  • Reading / writing large files generates errors and brings system to a crawl
  • The following message is observed:
    Status code returned 0xc0000008 NT_STATUS_INVALID_HANDLE
    CIFS VFS: Send error in read = -9
    CIFS VFS: No response to cmd 46 mid 62959
    CIFS VFS: Send error in read = -11
