Multipath paths flapping on only one HBA

Issue

  • Multipath paths flapping on only one HBA. We Replaced HBA, Tested cable and Replaced SFP.

We still have the same symptoms as prior to all of the above tasks. The paths for only one of the two HBA hosts is flapping, going from 'active/ready/running' to 'failed/ready/running' state in multipath -ll output.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.4
  • Device Mapper Multipath
