Interface eth1 failing to come up in a bond

Issue

  • After inserting a network card into the server, eth1 is failing to come up in the bond.

7: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,SLAVE,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq master bond0 state UP qlen 1000
    link/ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:02 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
