Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Drop or delete current and/or historic metric measurement data
  • Do not want to keep historic metrics
  • We have JBOSS ON 3.3 server with 100 agents. The problem is that we have the server's disk full because there are 30 Gb in /opt/jboss/rhq-data/data/rhq/raw_metrics.

  • Is there any way of purge data?? Can we erase the files of /opt/jboss/rhq-data/data/rhq/raw_metrics??

  • Our JON is generating these DB files and they are growing huge in size over the time. is there any way we can purge them. what is business impact if we delete them?

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON)
    • 3.2
    • 3.3
  • All measurement data stored in the JBoss ON storage node's data directory
