rhel6.6: after upgrade initrd is not build

Issue

  • We updated a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.6 server from kernel-2.6.32-504.1.3.el6.x86_64 to kernel-2.6.32-504.3.3.el6.x86_64 and it fails:

    Failed with:  Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root..

  • After an update, my initrd is not build.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.6
  • package nss-softokn, versions after 3.14.3-17.el6 and before 3.14.3-20.el6
