Unable to delete LVM based storage pool added in virt-manager

Issue

  • We wrongly added existing LVM Volume Group (which is used by host os) inside the virt-manager storage pool, right now we are unable to delete added storage pool called "tnpmdc_fs". can you guide us how to delete wrongly added storage pool.
  • The following error is seem while trying to delete the storage_pool:
error: internal error Child process (/sbin/vgchange -aln vg_itonm)
unexpected exit status 5:   Can't deactivate volume group "vg_itonm" with 8
open logical volume(s)
  • While looking at the storage_pool, you can see the following volumes:
    virt-manager-lvm.jpg

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
  • KVM
