How can I diagnose and prevent resource operation failures in a RHEL 6 or 7 High Availability cluster with pacemaker?

Issue

  • crmd keeps detecting that a resource is not running. How can I figure out why?
crmd[12256]: notice: process_lrm_event: LRM operation myIP194_monitor_60000 (call=160, rc=7, cib-update=104, confirmed=false) not running
  • I'm seeing resource operation failures with pacemaker, but I'm not sure how I can diagnose them and prevent them from occurring.
  • My highly available resources won't stay up.
  • pcs status shows errors for my resources
