Tempfiles in <installdir>/tmp/camel-tmp-xxxx will not be deleted

Issue

we are running a camel route in JBoss Fuse 6.0 for almost half a year.

Within the directories $KARAF_DATA/tmp/camel-tmp-xxxx temporary files got generated but not cleaned up.

As far as I understood these tempfiles are stream caches which should be automatically be removed as soon as the cache is not required any longer or the exchange is closed.

Any idea why the do not get cleaned up?
