Receving a SecurityException: The jurisdiction policy files are not signed by a trusted signer in JBoss EAP log

Issue

  • While changing from OpenJDK to Oracle JDK, getting SecurityException. During upgrade lib/security was copied over to new JDK
  • Receiving SecurityException after upgrading Java version.
Caused by: java.lang.SecurityException: The jurisdiction policy files are not signed by a trusted signer!
        at javax.crypto.JarVerifier.verifyPolicySigned(JarVerifier.java:289)[:1.7.0_10]
  • Currently trying to upgrade the currently installed jdk1.6.0_20, to the newest one jdk1.6.0_181, logs show a lot of errors, resulting in the server not working as intended. Errors are gone when reverting back to 1.6.0_20.
