Issue

  • Connecting to RedHat EWS 2.0 webserver produces error:
javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: [Security:090550]The certificate chain received from example_host - xx.xx.xx.xx contained a V3 CA certificate which indicated a certificate chain path length in the basic constraints that was exceeded.
  • WebLogic server is giving a SSLKeyException: [Security:090550] error.

Environment

  • WebLogic initiating SSL connection as client
  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Web Server with SSL
