Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • During upgrade process from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 to 7, want to clean up for el6 packages.
  • In the section Result for Removed rpms in result.html, found this information:
"INPLACERISK: HIGH: After upgrading to RHEL 7 there are still some el6 packages left. Add --cleanup-post option to redhat-upgrade-tool if you want to remove them automatically."
  • After trying redhat-upgrade-tool --cleanup-post, got usage:
usage: redhat-upgrade-tool <SOURCE> [options]
redhat-upgrade-tool: error: unrecognized arguments: --cleanup-post
  • The man page tells nothing about this --cleanup-post option.
  • Is this a valid option? How to use it?
