VMware SR-IOV VF PCI passthru not working with RHEL6.4 guest
Issue
- I have assign SR-IOV VF PCI passthru device to RHEL6.4 guest
- Initially the guest system was not booting with passthru device
- After that i added
pci=nomsioption to GRUB kernel like and system booted successfully - But after running
ifup <device>the system become unresponsive
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 (
kernel-2.6.32-358.el6) - VMware VM
- SR-IOV Virtual Function passed thru to RHEL guest
- Intel network interface using
ixgbevfVirtual Function driver
