How to set CUPS quotas in RHEL 5 and 6

Issue

  • We want to set up a CUPS server through which clients can print. The main purpose to configure CUPS master server is to set user quota and capture the logs. We also want to issue warning to individual users on reaching soft quota.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 & 6
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) 1.3.7 & 1.4.2
