How to get the ActiveMQ Broker Statistics ?

What is the difference between using
enableStatistics="true"in the broker configuration, the statisticsEnabled JMX property and JMX operation exposed inJMX and using the<statisticsBrokerPlugin />listed in the ActiveMQ broker configuration file? -
Do all of the above need to be in the configuration for statistics to work properly?
