Permissions on /dev/null change randomly

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

The permissions of /dev/null are usually 660, but we're occasionally getting errors accessing it:

-bash: /dev/null: Permission denied

Oracle database instances might become inaccessible when we run into this error. When we force the permissions to 666, the database becomes accessible again.
