The rpc.statd service will not start on my server
Issue
- The
rpc.statdservice will not start on my server. - The following messages get logged to
var/log/messages:
rpc.statd[3265]: Version 1.2.3 starting
sm-notify[3266]: Version 1.2.3 starting
sm-notify[3266]: Already notifying clients; Exiting!
rpc.statd[3265]: Failed to access local netconfig database: Netconfig database not found
rpc.statd[3265]: failed to create RPC listeners, exiting
