What is the use of beans.xml in SwitchYard ?

• Can you please provide me with a sample in FSW application, we would like to understand how and when beans.xml file can be used.
• We have a scenario where , in our camelroute bean when we get a request from a swtichyard service, we would like to invoke another bean class ( not a service). So we wanted to know if we can use beans.xml file for this purpose.
