JConsole can't connect locally to EAP with Java 7

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After upgrading to Java 7, the EAP script "bin\jconsole.bat" can no longer connect to EAP as local process. Neither a secure nor an insecure connection succeeds. Using a remote connection works. Using a local process did work with Java 6.

  • We can't connect to JBoss EAP 6 locally when using Java 7.
