System time had gone backward in virtual machines

Issue

  • From /var/log/messages time went backward always after vmci device registration in many VMware virtual machines:
===>>> Aug 14 12:48:48 server1 kernel: Registered vmci device.
       Aug 14 12:48:42 server1 selogrd[3241]: Unable to communicate with [x.x.x.x: RPC: Success#012]

===>>> Aug 14 12:43:50 server2 kernel: Registered vmci device.
       Aug 14 12:43:45 server2 kernel: Removing vmci device

===>>> Aug 14 12:45:24 server3 kernel: Registered vmci device.
       Aug 14 12:44:43 server3 kernel: Removing vmci device
