Why does anaconda try to create hfsplus filesystem on efi partition while installing RHEL 7 on MAC hardware ?

Issue

• Why does anaconda try to create hfsplus filesystem on efi partition while installing RHEL 7 on MAC hardware ?
• The installation fails with the following error in anaconda.log
