Is the HP FlexFabric 10Gb 2P 534FLR-SFP+ Adapter supported?

Issue:

The HP FlexFabric 10Gb 2P 534FLR-SFP+ (Broadcom 57XX NetXtreme II) Adapter does not support FCoE functionality in RHEL5. Neither hardware driver support or software initiated support via the fcoe.ko inbox module exists for this device. ISCSI support is provided by software stack only and there is no driver support for hardware offloading of iSCSI traffic. Regular TCP/IP based network traffic is supported in RHEL5 on these devices.

Resolution:

This is a known limitation of these devices on RHEL5 only. If FCoE support is desired, or hardware supported offloading of iSCSI traffic is desired, then these devices must be installed on a sytem that is running RHEL6 or RHEL7.

This network has been certified for use with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
