Why does it appear like Linux is dropping packets when TCP sockets are reused?
Issue
- On a multi tier setup with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers, where
TCPsessions are reused fast, proxy 502 and 503 errors in proxy server logs are being presented.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Cisco ACE hardware, acting as loadbalancer and modifying TCP packets
