Why I am getting "ipa: ERROR: attribute "idnsAllowTransfer" not allowed" error message while trying to add a new reverse zone in IPA ?

Issue

Unable to add a new reverse zone through IPA, the command fails with the following error.

    # ipa dnszone-add --name-server=client2.example.com --name-from-ip=10.65.145.0/23
    Zone name [65.10.in-addr.arpa.]: 145.65.10.in-addr.arpa.
    Administrator e-mail address [hostmaster.145.65.10.in-addr.arpa.]:
    ipa: ERROR: attribute "idnsAllowTransfer" not allowed

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3
  • ipa-server-2.2.0-16.el6
  • ipa-server was updated from an earlier release.
